The surroundings are beautiful with green valleys, high mountains, wide grazing land, deep canyons and white glacial rivers. All this and an area full of history make it an ideal location for riding expeditions and sightseeing.
About the horses: The Icelandic Horse is as pure as a breed can be. The first horses came with the first settlers to Iceland 1000 years ago and a rule was set which prohibited the further import of horses. The Icelandic Horse has the size of a pony but the power of a horse. The Icelandics have a good character with a strong personality, much temperament when asked for it and the two rare gaits of Tolt and Pace. All our horses tolt.
