Destination Profile: The Sierra Norte lies on the northern frontier of the Sevilla province, some 70kms north of the city itself, the rolling wooded hills and lush river valleys of this park of natural beauty remain as yet undiscovered. Charming whitewashed villages nestle amongst the oak and pine-covered slopes while above a warren of cobbled streets, storks nest precariously upon ancient Moorish church bell towers. Up in the hills, the far-reaching views are spectacular and varied. This superb location is a perfect sanctuary for birds of prey, including important populations of the rare Spanish imperial eagle and the black vulture. Undiscovered and rich in wildlife, with perhaps the most varied flora and fauna in Spain, the Sierra Norte offers the perfect environment for your horse riding holiday.
About the horses: All our horses are part or pure bred Andalusian or Lusitano. They are all well schooled, obedient, fit rides. They range in size from 14.3hh to 15.3hh and are all wonderful, kind characters.
